The Office Growth Activation Team is on a mission to delight users and drive business growth through a data-informed culture that leads to compelling Office products and services, while also meeting industry-leading privacy standards and optimizing Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). The Office Growth Activation team is all about defining data collection strategies, data ingestion, diagnostics, privacy experiences, compliance, data at scale and achieving efficiencies in managing COGS and related capabilities to support this mission.
The team is looking for a Product Manager II to deliver and build the next generation of the data pipelines that will power all of the data and insights for Office versions going forward. In this role, you will build on tools and APIs that the office developer community can use to ingest data and help figure out how to scale the data as office grows. You would collaborate with teams inside the Office Experiences Organization (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) as well as a broad set of stakeholders and partners across the company to deliver a data collection model and strategy that could be adopted across the company to simplify Telemetry experiences, drive insights and value for the organization while also building customer trust and confidence.
This is a challenging, highly visible role and a fantastic opportunity for the right Product Manager II to solve complex UX, technical and business problems and create business impact in the Office organization and beyond.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience
  • Experience working with big data pipelines and driving metrics development
  • Experience across Azure, AWX, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) stack
  • Experience working on projects that use large data assets (Azure Data Lake, Google Big Query, Amazon Redshift, etc.)

Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as Cosmos.
  • 3 years in the technology industry
  • Experience driving mission critical projects with cross company and/or cross industry stakeholders
  • Experience working with data scientists and analysts on data projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in the entire software product development cycle
  • Experience driving cross-organization or cross-functional teams to accomplish shared tasks.

Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
