Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$49.377 - $63.712 - $78.048


The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.


What You Will Do

The Product Manager II in Digital Marketing is responsible for managing and creating extensive, enterprise-wide digital products that enable Sharp to grow, improve patient engagement and deliver on Sharp's mission to be the best place to work, practice medicine and receive care.

The Product Manager II is responsible for defining, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of significant patient-facing digital products, aligning with the overall strategy and company KPIs. Additional responsibilities include business case development, competitive analysis, customer research, product requirements, product status reports, presentations, delivery/launch, site integration, reporting/analysis, and performance monitoring.

Required Qualifications

  • 7 years' experience in a Product Management role, preferably in health care, finance or ecommerce.
  • Experience with creating digital products from concept to completion, working directly with a team in an agile development methodology.
  • Agile knowledge required.
  • Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and email software.
  • 1 year experience with Axure or other prototyping software.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in creating inspiring presentations and roadmaps.
  • Waterfall experience preferred.


Essential Functions

  • Client services
    Acts as the clear leader with his or her clients on all digital product initiatives. Leads meetings, creates presentations and gives direction and guidance to the rest of the team.
    Interacts comfortably with senior leaders in the broader organization.
    Forms strong relationships with business units and internal team members to get buy-in on ownership of the digital product strategy and processes with clients.
    Represents the Product Management team as a subject matter expert on Sharp’s digital products and provides support to other team members as needed.
    Evaluates results and recommends changes to strategies, coordinating efforts with business units.
    Manages clients’ expectations regarding timing and deliverables.
  • Design and development
    Design & UX
    Understands patient and consumer needs to present the customer with the best possible user experience across all products.
    Gives strong guidance to the Information Architect and UX/UI team to help create wireframes and user interface for all products.
    Manages the relationship between design and development for all product enhancements.
    Researches the conceptual design of new product features or site enhancements via focus groups, usability tests, analytics and other research methods.
  • Product development
    Digital Product Development
    Works with engineering teams in an agile environment, participating in scrum ceremonies when necessary, creating documentation for Epics and user stories, and partnering with engineering for the software development life cycle, participating in UAT and deployments.
    Takes a leadership role with client and internal teams to help develop and deploy new product initiatives.
    Leads meetings with internal creative services, project management, development team and vendors to identify and develop digital products.
    Understands the core business objectives of clients and translates to measurable and achievable goals they can attain from digital solutions.
    Works closely with the Business Analyst and Scrum Master to set priorities effectively for each Scrum team.
    Gathers frequent customer feedback to ensure customer need is being met.
  • Strategy
    Digital Product Strategy
    Develops and executes product plans and roadmaps for large Sharp digital products with clear understanding of the market direction, regulatory requirements, technology trends, competition, and other variables impacting product strategy.
    Effectively communicates Sharp’s digital product vision with teams across the organization.
    Works with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and communicates effectively with clients to help prioritize initiatives.
    Focuses on product development to help strengthen Sharp’s relationship with its existing patients and attract new customers.
    Prioritizes resources and product implementation based on business objectives and patient feedback.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be skilled in industry standard best practices for developing successful digital products.
  • Advanced presentation and communication skills required; will often present to Senior Management.
  • Knowledge of API integrations and complex health care electronic medical record integrations strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Jira, Trello, Basecamp, Smartsheet and Web analytics tools required.
  • Has a deep understanding of product development principles and practices.
