What you'll do
As the Product Line Manager for DuraMag® (A Shyft Group Brand) based in Nashville, TN, you will accountable for planning, directing, and coordinating all aspects of the brand and our truck body products to ensure customer satisfaction, growth and profitability targets.
You will also be accountable for overseeing all branch activities in the areas of inside sales, purchase order and parts order tracking, warranties, status reporting, customer service, and issues resolution.
You will also be expected to:

  • Utilize a mix of commercial and recreational channels to steer leadership, strategic, sales, and market goals within the truck accessories sector
  • Oversee the introduction of new products and revision of current products
  • Create style sketches and story boards to initiate opportunity briefs for both new and current products
  • Partner with merchants and quality assurance to develop and enforce a schedule for product development
  • Ensure the ongoing maintenance of the product library and PIM process
  • Integrate sales planning data with the merchandise plan to ensure alignment
  • Forecast optimal sales quantities that maximize sales and profit
  • Directing efforts with marketing to conduct industry analysis, market research, and consumer research
  • Offer strategic direction to develop the product range strategy in line with business expansion goals
  • Communicate the assortment strategy during the concept, design, and development steps
  • Own the Product Development Milestone Meetings, which provide updates on the Product Line strategy, the progress of product development, and timely leadership approvals
  • Oversee creation of business requirements documents (BRDs) to communicate requirements cross-functionally and verify that they reflect winning product strategies
  • Co-develop the marketing and annual budget plans for the brand

What you need to be successful
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in sales, product management, product marketing of aftermarket automotive products
  • Eight or more (8+) years of Product Line management, retail experience or equivalent sales expertise within the automotive aftermarket segment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, etc.
  • Effectiveness in working independently and in a team setting
  • Strong analytical skills
