Position Details
This is an opportunity to join one of Renesas' most dynamic teams focusing on power management and mixed signal products. Position is based out of our Austin, TX design center.
Core Responsibilities
Coordinate new product development from initial design phase to full production release
Perform new product validation, data analysis, yield enhancement, product cost reduction and device qualification
Utilize knowledge of semiconductor fabrication process to support yield and quality improvement
Develop reliability and characterization plans and execute on new products
Validate production test systems
Perform lab evaluation of electronic components and systems
Perform failure analysis to resolve qualification failures and improve yield
Participate in cross functional product development teams to successfully execute to plan, maintain schedules, manage risks, lead problem solving sessions, report status in management reviews, and interface with other engineering disciplines and various levels of management
Skill Requirements
BSEE or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years professional industry experience in a Product Engineering role
Knowledge of power management topologies is desired
Good problem-solving techniques and methodology
Statistical analysis capability. Knowledge of JMP, Gauge R&R, limit setting and DOE is a plus
Experience with bringing new products from definition to production release
Knowledge of IC fabrication process is a plus
Ability to perform bench testing and measurement
Good communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills are a must
