POSITION OVERVIEW

The Client Services department is responsible for strategizing the growth of the current active portfolio and responsible for overseeing a company’s relationship with its clients. The Sr. Product Development Account Manager (SPDAM) will execute strategies set forth by the Sr. Account Executive (SAE) to secure new developments and client allocation. To support the strategy initiatives the SPDAM will work with the Client Services and Design teams to lead execution of tactical plans and calendars to improve service performance, create and present tailored development proposals, and conduct periodic meetings with clients.

An ideal candidate for the role of SPDAM will be proactive and innovative, with an ability to balance and align detailed account management and topline corporate initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills and conduct themselves with a high level of professionalism during meetings, showroom appointments & networking events. The candidate will be able to demonstrate a high level of analytic thinking to evaluate business development opportunities and trends in buying & allocation practices for their accounts. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the Fashion Jewelry market, identify market trends, and shifts in the design landscape. They will be able to creatively problem solve client demands for price, quality, and design aesthetic.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for all account management tasks involved within daily operations of Product Development and client servicing of assigned accounts. Inclusive of conducting daily client engagements, development engineering for quality construction and pricing, and executing business development strategies implemented by SAE.

· Responsible for proactive engagement with client and factory partners to minimize challenges.

· Responsible for reviewing new developments and identifying cost options based on material changes & construction changes at the start of each development kick off to work with manufacturing partners on development execution.

· Responsible for dealing with client fire situations, with support of SAE.

· Support business development conversations with SAE during periodic touch base meetings with existing clients for feedback on business, services, and discussions of how to grow the partnership and programs.

· Work closely with the design team to help identify areas of new business opportunities based on client direction & trends in assortments.

· Work collaboratively with manufacturing partners to ensure best execution on quality, pricing, and delivery for our clients.

· Responsible for ensuring all manufacturing partners have the tools to execute client development during each stage of development style.

· Responsible for execution of allocation strategy within vendor matrix as identified by SAE.

· Provide timely reports on status, strategy initiatives, and fire situations to SAE.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES

· Able to execute the client’s business needs in terms of price, product construction, quality, on time proactive communication, and on time sample arrival.

· Able to understand client’s business goals, aesthetic, and target to provide tailored services.

· Technical understanding of manufacturing craft and techniques, raw materials and be able to adjust to meet the clients design aesthetic, costing, quality performance and needs.

· Able to creatively problem solve challenges that arise during design, prototyping, bulk manufacturing process and propose solutions with clients and manufacturers to rectify issues.

· Effectively able to streamline communication from Manufacturing partners to Brand clients so that the development process is both seamless and efficient.

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

· Reports to the Sr. Account Executive – Fashion Brands division

· Participates in Brand Meetings, Showroom Appointments, Seasonal Design Strategy Meetings, Client Services Touch Base Meetings, Learning and Development meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years in Product Development or sourcing in Fashion Jewelry or accessories business. Experience in Product Management and / or Production Management is also a plus.

· Bachelor’s Degree in a Fashion related Business Category.

· Strong communications skills are essential.

· Confident and able present to large groups with a high level of professionalism.

· Strong computer skills, especially in excel, and other Microsoft Programs. Knowledge of Adobe products a plus. Previous experience utilizing PLM and ERP systems are also desirable.

· Ability to excel in collaborative team environments.

· Detailed Oriented, and able to multi-task.

· Able to analyze sales reports, draw conclusions and adapt strategies based on report findings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
