Eastridge Workforce Solutions is collaborating with a leading luxury appliance designer and manufacturer to find a skilled Product Development Engineer. Joining the Design Engineering Department, you'll contribute to the rapid development of high-value products. Key responsibilities include making informed design decisions, developing specifications for electrical devices, overseeing suppliers, and providing technical support for testing, troubleshooting, and regulatory matters. What the role entails:
- Specifies and designs the functional electrical requirements of various products.
- Communicates and coordinates electrical design issues with vendors
- Directs testing and evaluation of new and problem electrical components (Controls, Motors, Heaters, valves, wiring, etc.)
- Instructs assembly personnel how to properly install and connect electrical components.
- Guides test personnel how to efficiently troubleshoot appliances
- Analyzes field problems and returns
- Supports technical service in determining various causes & fixes of problems reported from the field
- Development of Tools, and processes necessary to interact with control platforms as needed
- Debug issues and determine root cause failure analysis.
- Directs and leads specification and development of new electronic control boards and related components.
- Directs and leads specification and development of new software packages.
What the ideal candidate will bring:
- 7-10 Years of Experience (Electrical Product Development) – Required
- Travel Percentage – 10%
- Potential Domestic & International Travel
- Ability to use electronic test equipment.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to handle confidential information relating to descriptions and specifications of proprietary appliance control hardware design and software algorithms, Product Development and introduction schedules, product costs and product performance weaknesses.
- Networked PC. Electronic testing equipment, special purpose performance testing equipment, software development systems and testers
- Proven track record of Product Development experience and project management.
