Technical Specialist Job Description
Summary:
Responsible for supporting external and internal customers with technical support, including diagnostic capabilities, product, and mechanical application for Golf Cart products.
Duties:
- Approximately 30% of time will be spent resolving dealer and consumer customer issues through answering customer phone calls and e-mails.
- Utilize our phone system and participate in the que to ensure technical resolution of customer questions and issues.
- Accurately address all inquiries from a variety of customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Advise Product Team about product issues that arise from product problems identified through technical support calls with customers.
- Monitor product application and information for accuracy.
- Inspect returned parts and address product defects or deficiencies with the appropriate groups.
- Document New Product opportunities through customer interactions.
- Capture and channel information to provide the product, purchasing and quality control teams feedback about products based on interaction with customers and field personnel.
- Deal directly with customers via telephone and email to provide sales and technical support to retail customers, dealers and distributors.
- Review Distributor catalogs to keep current with changing products.
- Occasionally attend trade shows and industry events to support company product lines.
- Assist in installation, testing, and fitment of new and products on the correct applications.
- Maintain a clean and safe shop environment for development of products.
- Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Knowledge of the Golf Cart, Power Sports, Outdoor Power Equipment, and/or Automotive industries including major distributors, competitors, products, and applications.
Technical knowledge and hands-on experience with electric and/or gasoline powered vehicles.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods.
