Languages are key to Meta's mission of bringing the world closer together. The Meta family of products is currently available in 100 languages and is constantly adding many more. Over 70% of people use our products in a language other than English, and ~90% are outside of North America. As a Product Analyst supporting the Internationalization (i18n) organization, you will partner with internationalization teams and engineers to empower Meta products to feel local at a global scale.By applying your technical skills, analytical mindset, and business intuition to one of the richest data sets in the world, you will help define the experiences we build for billions of people and hundreds of millions of businesses around the world. You will use data and analysis to identify and solve Internationalization's biggest challenges. You will influence strategy and investment decisions with data, be focused on impact, and collaborate with other teams. You won’t simply present data, but tell data-driven stories.You will join the Global Experience Analytics team with presence in Internationalization, Global Experience Platform, International Growth, Product Quality & Experience, and Global Response.
- Identify and measure success of localization efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics to understand trends.
- Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and the presentation of data to develop localization strategies for our products that serve billions of people and hundreds of millions of businesses.
- Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches.
- Partner with Internationalization leadership, Engineering, Vendor Management, and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute localization strategy and investment decisions.
- Collaborate with language managers, program mangers and engineers to understand data needs, representing key data insights in a meaningful way.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in analytics or data engineering (minimum of 2 years with a Masters).
- Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and basic statistics knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Operations Research, forecasting, machine translation, or localization
