General Member

Primary Objective

Responsible for demonstrating a love of food and passion for people that includes incredible Customer Service and performance excellence through department knowledge and technical expertise. As a General Member, he/she promotes and delivers a shopping experience focused on providing customers the level of service to which we have publicly committed by providing efficient service through hands-on daily activities. The General
Member adheres to organizational procedures, policies and systems including food quality standards and food safety and sanitation guidelines.

2. Process Focus – Delivers standard of disciplined, high quality, high paced daily working and shopping conditions.

• Efficient bagging of customer groceries including Refuse disposal and cardboard removal parcel pickups Working knowledge of all applicable equipment
• Efficient collection of shopping carts Working knowledge of applicable legal, safety,
• Maintains high cleanliness standards – clean as and sanitation SOP’s you go, inclusive of washing, cleaning, sweeping, Demonstrates high level of operational execution mopping throughout store and exterior as needed Fast paced and exhibits sense of urgency
• Assists as needed in departments including Conducts product Sales Events (Demos) shopbacks Consistent execution of all applicable SOP’s

3. Performance Focus – Assists financial results in Sales and Supplies and Shrink Management.

• Accomplished SELLING skills results in additional Utilizes appropriate supplies to reduce costs

4. Planning Focus –

• Plans work duties appropriately during scheduled Identifies department opportunities during shift to accomplish all assigned tasks scheduled shift and responds accordingly

Functional Requirements:

• Interpersonal Skills – Mental– demonstrated success in the areas of energy, initiative, judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction memorization, reading, writing, math, effective communications, problem solving
• Product Skills – general knowledge of Grocery product
• Process Skills – demonstrated understanding of all General Member functions
• Analytical Skills – basic understanding of math
• Physical Skills – Frequent - ability to lift/carry 40 to 80 lbs., push/pull 70 to 650 lbs., turning, standing, reaching, stooping/bending, kneeling, walking. Use of pallet jack, compactor, carts, mop, broom, scraper, bags, cleaning utensils, dust mop

• Physical Skills – Occasional – standing, walking on uneven ground, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling 650 to 1000 lbs.
• Education or Experience – Minimum High school education or currently enrolled
• Environmental – Exposure to outside temperatures

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.25 - $15.25 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
