POSITION SUMMARY:
The Procurement Specialist is an attentive and team-oriented individual who will perform a variety of tasks supporting the continuous operation of the business through purchase order management, inventory management and various other tasks as needed. They will also have a high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support to Operations and Demand Planning
- Place and reconcile purchase order confirmations
- Review and maintain re-order points for stock items
- Assist in managing supplier relationships, including compliance reporting
- Gather data from different reports and align those reports to present to Procurement and Operations
- Prepare and maintain purchase order data while supporting and increasing effectiveness and efficiency of processes
- Researching new suppliers and making recommendations
- Work with internal departments to resolve delivery, pricing, availability, payment issues
- Notify internal departments of potential delays in purchase orders
- Cross trained to support multiple supply chain functions
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience using ERP system, NetSuite preferred
- Strong Communication skills
- Purchasing experience
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Effective time management skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Great problem-solving skills
PREFERRED:
- College Degree
- Experience with Outside Process Suppliers
- Experience with Bill of Materials Assembly creation
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to sit/stand for 8-10 hours
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
