The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Grants, Contracts and Procurement Specialist at the Dickson Campus. This is a fully on-site position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical diploma in a related field required; Associate degree in accounting, financial services or related field preferred. A comparable combination of education and directly related work experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping or financial processes within the last five (5) years. Experience in these areas with a higher education institution preferred.
  • Experience in grant management preferred.

SKILLS

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize projects, attend to multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret policies, guidelines, instructions and information.
  • Ability to tactfully communicate with employees, vendors and the public at all levels.
  • Strong math skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong computer skills utilizing a wide variety of software applications including, but not limited to: databases, spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Ellucian Banner and Jaggaer a plus.
  • Attention to detail will be essential.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, students, vendors and others.

GENERAL DUTIES:  The Grants, Contracts and Procurement Specialist will work in coordination with the Financial Administration office to ensure all aspects of grant activities, contract processing and Procurement are delivered on time. Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Routing all contracts for approval and following up on outstanding requirements.
  • Gathering data and completing various reports related to Business Office functions.
  • Completing and routing contract and grant revisions as needed.
  • Monitoring and reconciling budgets for all grants and assisting with grant budget proposals.
  • Working closely with faculty and college administration to ensure needs are met for equipment purchases.
  • Purchasing and tracking all grant items.
  • Initiating and completing the bidding process for equipment purchases.
  • Using online purchasing system to enter and close purchase orders.
  • Serving as liaison between vendors and TBR Service Center to assist in negotiating contract terms and conditions.
  • Managing purchasing card distribution and reconciliation.
  • Processing journal vouchers for deposits and purchasing card transactions.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position reports to the Vice President of Fiscal Services. Work is performed fully on-site.

SALARY:  $33,748-$42,185. Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines and based on directly related experience and education.
