Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Procurement Clerk / Buyer position.
Type: 40hrs/wk. TEMP TO HIRE
Start Date: Within two weeks.
Location: Intersect of Moon Acres Drive and Blakely Avenue in Piedmont, SC. Please make sure this drive works for you before applying.
Pay: $19.50 to $19.50
Length: Temp to Perm
Hours: 8am to 4pm with overtime possible
Please Note: Existing experience with SAP and mechanical knowledge is mandatory within this role. A Bachelors degree plus one year of direct experience is a must. This is an environment where steel-toed shoes are required. Note that this is a position for permanent conversion for the right person.
Overview: Our client is housed within the industrial arena. This role is responsible for purchasing products, goods, and materials. Procure product in support of the distribution center, warehouse, an assigned client, and/or an assigned vendor.
Responsibilities for the Procurement Clerk / Buyer role include:
Ensure the company has appropriate levels of stock to meet demand.
Review and approve assigned inventory forecasts.
Review and approve daily replenishment recommendations.
Assess existing orders to determine action for expediting or de-expediting.
Place purchase requisitions and vendor orders.
Follow-up on the status of purchase orders with vendors.
Communicates with vendors to resolve problems.
Maintain and cultivate relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Research and resolve account payables issues.
Qualifications for thisProcurement Clerk / Buyer role:
Completed Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or closely related field.
At least one year of procurement experience.
Polished customer service skills.
Ability to stand and/or sit for approximately 8 hours per day.
Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
Knowledge of hand tools.
Able to read instructions accurately.
Must be able to work full-time hours.
Must have excellent attendance.
Pay Details: $19.50 per hour
