Job Title: Buyer/Planner
Location: Fort Mill, SC
Duration: 1+ Month
Work Schedule: 1st Shift, 7 AM - 5:30 PM (Monday – Thursday and OT on Friday)
Job Description:
- Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO), The MRO Buyer/planner will have primary responsibility to ensure that critical spare parts are kept at correct inventory levels, stockroom organization, and incoming receiving.
- Coordination of service requests for maintenance and facilities department and financial responsibility over spend for variable overhead supplies and maintenance for the plant.
- Receives materials, equipment, supplies, and services of a specialized or complex nature in accordance with prescribed purchasing regulations and procedures.
- Work with Vendors to resolve or improve spare parts deficiencies.
- Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory and control costs.
- Maintain, updates pricing details for assigned vendor(s)/material(s) in CMMS.
- Sets up inventory location in AX and plant floor.
- Prints inventory tags for current inventory.
- Transitions plant to Microsoft AX Materials Management.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Maintenance Planning experience in a manufacturing environment, 1-2 years of experience of purchasing, and 3-5 years of Maintenance Inventory Control experience required.
- Ability to exercise independent judgement and decision-making.
- Must have effective planning, organizational, decision-making skills, and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Possesses an advanced understanding of MRP (material requirements planning) tools and techniques.
