Procurement Agent

Procurement Agent needed for an International Food Export company in Irvine.

Direct hire position paying $80-130/K depending on experience. This is an onsite position in Irvine, must also be open to international travel as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Establish database of all food related products in USA which has possibility to export in Asian Market (specifically China).
• Communicate with superior to define the main product that will be working on (weekly reports).
• Contact suppliers and organize meetings or visits.
• Establish suppliers profile and communicate with overseas team to define possible purchases.
• Negotiating with exporter on related terms.
• Drafting contracts and executing.
• Follow up on exportation process.
• Feedback on the market of the destination (China and the Asian Market).
• Maintain and improve suppliers relationship.

Skills Needed:

• Fluent in English and Spanish, or English and Chinese (Mandarin) is a big plus.
• More than 3 years of experience working directly with food industry suppliers or supplier management in the Meat / Seafood Industry.
• More than 3 years of experience drafting negotiating and executing complex exportation contracts and subcontracts.
• Bachelor degree or higher in International Trading, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
• Knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices.
• Ability to manage and achieve operation goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
