Procurement Agent - Remote

Job Description
Procurement Agent is responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. Agent processes requisitions within S2P program and routes to the buying group for the evaluation of goods and services as needed; ensures that customers' expectations and requirements are met; and resolves conflicts concerning materials or services. The agent is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the procurement field and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares purchase orders or bid requests. Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
• Specifications and inquiry preparation, purchasing, expediting, bid analysis, and invoice auditing.
• Standard purchasing forms, including bid requests, material requisitions, purchase orders, logs, reports, and trends.
• Helps negotiate with commercial terms and legal terms on contracts on behalf of the company with outside vendors.
• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Evaluates vendor quotes to determine the most desirable suppliers.
• Estimates values according to the knowledge of market price. Determines the method of procurement, such as direct purchase or bid.
• Extrapolates the business/operational requirements from internal parties and interprets them into a strategy that fulfills these requirements.
• Advises upper management of the best course in action with facts and extensive research and analysis.
• Constant coordination with outside vendors and internal parties.
• Follow corporate and divisional procurement guidelines and policies.
• Ensures vendor compliance and vendor management.
• Assist in dispute resolutions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education (Required):

• BA & CPM/CPSM preferred.

Skills (Required):

• Must be able to work in a schedule-driven environment and manage multiple jobs. Timing is a critical function.
• Strong verbal and written skills; detail-oriented
• Comfortable speaking with upper management, clear and concise
• Tracking budget expenses and supplier relationships, strong organization skills
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers.
• Solid documentation skills
• Analysis and critical thinking skills
• Intermediate Excel skills required.

Experience (Required):

• 2-4 years' experience

The anticipated salary range for this position is $62,600 - $93,800 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
