Processor - Retail

Location*: Tampa, FL *Must be willing and able to report to the physical office location on a full time basis.

Department: Loan Processing - Retail

General Business Hours: M-F: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Shift: 8 Hours M-F.

Managed by (Title): Processing Manager

Compensation: $18.21 - $31.75 Per hour + Incentives

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (eligible for approved overtime)

SUMMARY

A Loan Processor, or Mortgage Processor role acts as a liaison and support staff between the Loan Officer, Loan Originator, and Underwriter. They make sure that loan applications are complete and free of mistakes, evaluate financial documents for loan eligibility and ensure that closing deadlines are met. Embrace is looking for a fluent Spanish speaking bilingual Processor to join the Tampa, FL branch location.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Technical Knowledge, Years of Related Experience, Skills, Licenses, and Systems Experience

  1. Education: High School. College Degree in Business or Finance preferred, but not required.
  2. Experience: Loan Processing, regulatory reporting, banking, working with mortgage loans, or a combination of experience in those areas.
  3. Skills: Fluency in Spanish speaking and writing required. Ability to understand regulatory/financial requirements, high sense of urgency, determine if documentation is accurate and conditions are met, exceptional customer service skills with outstanding attention to detail.
  4. Systems: Microsoft 365 office suite, Loan Origination System (Empower preferred)

TRAINING REQUIRED

Participate in additional training on sales, technology, products, procedures and pricing on an ongoing basis. Complete annual training as required by company policy and law on an annual basis in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure a high customer satisfaction rating through corresponding regularly to outside parties such as title agents and borrowers

Double-check lending guidelines and all essential prior-to-document conditions related to each loan document before and after approval

Discuss account status or activity with customer, borrower, title agent and loan contact team members through email or phone

Record applications for loan and credit, loan information and disbursement of funds, in the software platform, “Empower”.

Obtain, examine and edit service level agreements (SLA’s), credit information, title report, homeowners insurance, appraisals and flood certificates to identify or verify concerns, completeness and accuracy prior to loan approval

Modify administrative work procedures, processes or plans with assigned loan officer(s) to ensure that all contractual dates such as mortgage contingency, closing date, rate lock expiration are met as well as prepare for future pipeline

Read all internally provided newsletter and bulletins to remain current on corporate policies, procedures, product guidelines and industry changes

Attend and participate in all Monthly Awards Ceremonies, Corporate Gatherings & Training Events

Judgement and Decision Making: Detect and report suspicious activity in order to prevent fraudulent claims and comply with federal law

Communication Skills: Provide clear, verbal and written documentation to customers and teammates in order to provide a full and complete file to Underwriting

Time Management: Manage loan pipeline to ensure that deadlines are met on or before due date in order to keep the pipeline flowing properly

Customer and Personal Service: Exposure to meeting quality standards for services in order to uphold the company’s exceptional customer service reputation

Resource Management: Accurately assess situations to determine if collaboration with teammates or subject matter experts are required in order to maximize workplace efficiency

Mortgage Industry Knowledge: Familiarity and/or exposure to mortgage terminology, procedures and regulations in order to shorten the duration of on the job training

Work Location Information:

Embrace supports hybrid work where business needs allow, but is rebuilding a community that looks forward to collaboration within an office setting.
