Job Description: Process Technician
Job Summary:
The Process Technician is a pivotal role responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal production output, quality, and safety standards are met. This role involves executing tasks such as machine setup, mold changes, equipment maintenance, and monitoring production processes.
Essential Functions:
- Set up and operate various material handling, molding, finishing, and assembly equipment.
- Perform tasks such as mold setup and cutter adjustments.
- Conduct startup and shutdown procedures for molding machines.
Maintenance and Repair:
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks to ensure machinery operates effectively and safely.
- Conduct minor repairs and change inserts as needed to maintain optimal machine performance.
- Inspect machines hourly to identify issues and prevent production of defective parts.
Production Monitoring and Quality Control:
- Monitor production quantities and process parameters to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Identify and resolve issues affecting production efficiency and product quality.
- Implement changes to eliminate root causes of scrap production.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to departmental safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards.
- Promote and maintain safety, quality, and environmental awareness in the workplace.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding shift performance and production issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and production leads to implement process improvements and optimize operations.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Fill out daily process records to track machine performance and production metrics.
- Accurately report shift performances including safety, quality, production, and scrap.
Training and Development:
- Stay updated on ISO standards relevant to the position.
- Train and mentor new team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience in plastics processing and maintenance, preferably in molding.
- Knowledge of machine start-up, shutdown procedures, and basic machine functions.
- Ability to lift up to 30/50 pounds and perform basic data entry.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Ability to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical lift test.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, lifting/carrying up to 30/50 pounds, and using sight, hearing, and speech.
- Working Conditions: Work may occur indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying temperatures.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $34.00 per hour
