Job description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:

To continue 14nm competitiveness, we seek an engineer who has experience with 14nm (or related finfet node) and can implement integrations changes for an upgraded 14nm generation (cost, performance, area, power). The ideal candidate will have deep understanding of multiple process modules of a finfet flow such as Fin module, PC module, SD module, RMG module, etc. Therefore, this engineer would benefit from having the experience of a module Process Integration Engineer (Fin, PC, SD, RMG, MOL, BEOL), but would be growing into a bigger role as a product Process Integration Engineer. The engineer will be involved in the setup of initial CMOS flow setup, validating module solutions to achieve the critical power/performance/area benefit, verifying process margin, and measurements. Integration and device physics knowledge is a strong plus and strong FEOL/BEOL integration skills are desirable. The ideal candidate will also have understanding of FEOL CMOS flow.

Specific Job Duties:

Work with unit process owners and module integration owners to setup new module processes.
Verify performance and process margin of the upgraded generation.
Support new product tape-out onto this process and lead NPI procedure and validate DFM weakpoints.
Run customer sample silicon and determine the appropriate measurements to ensure the success of qualification and timely transition to mass production.
Ensure the initial success of mass production with specialized DOEs and other safe launch procedures.
Shift: 1st shift
Skills and Qualifications:

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required

M.S. of Ph.D. in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical), Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics or similar technical degree
5-10 years experience in semiconductor process engineering
Knowledge of scripting language (Python, R, VBA, or JSL preferred)
Prior experience in Module Process Integration, Product Process Integration, Device Integration, or Process Engineering is highly desireable.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools

Ability to prepare and present reports of a technical nature.
Advanced Understanding of semiconductor wafer processing, device physics and product engineering.
Fosters cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals and deliverables. Participates and encourages transparent information sharing amongst team members.
