This Nebraska Ethanol Refinery uses locally grown grains to produce an environmentally friendly fuel that adds value to the local economy. They previously installed a technical system that increased capacity from 50M/gallons to 80M/gallons.
Job Summary
The Process Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager, and supports the strategic development, implementation, and support of new process technologies to increase the Company's efficiency and profitability. The Process Engineer is involved in a variety of engineering functions, including upgrades to plant design, continuous improvement of production processes, management of medium to large capital projects, and evaluation/implementation of new process technologies.
The Process Engineer will support all policies, goals, and objectives of the Company and will represent the Company knowledgeably and professionally.

- Responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to ensure continuous and efficient plant operations, identify plant inefficiencies, lead improvement efforts to increase production capacity, and maintain and develop P&ID's, SOP's, and MOC's as needed.
- Works with the Engineering Manager to manage and coordinate the design, engineering, and execution of multiple projects that are safe, efficient, on-time, and on-budget. Conduct project evaluations and develops continuous improvement ideas and best practices.
- Works closely with the Engineering Manager and other key stakeholders to ensure projects are constructed on time and within Liaises with contractor's staff, attends construction and/or design meetings, and reviews detailed designs and specifications.
- Provides engineering guidance and technical input for the production process, the chemistry involved, process equipment, and the other components within an ethanol plant.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with colleagues, consultants, and key stakeholders to support their analysis and development needs and ensure the accomplishment of plant goals.
- Communicates with the Engineering Manager regularly and make recommendations regarding new technology or ideas that may improve plant operations.
- Maintains a high level of service and work performance and supports and promotes a positive and cooperative team environment that fosters creative problem solving and shared learning.

- Completes tasks assigned by the Engineering Manager and other duties not listed herein but need to be accomplished to maintain safe and productive day-to-day operations within the plant.

Minimum Requirements
- MUST HAVE BS-Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree (from an accredited school)
- 2 years of experience in a large-scale industrial continuous process manufacturing
- Ethanol manufacturing experience preferred
- Able to read, write, and comprehend the English
Skills/Abilities Required
- Must be detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and organizational
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Knowledge of statistics and Statistical Process
- Working knowledge of Project Management
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people and communicate information to obtain positive results.
