We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer with a deep understanding of Process Engineering principles, P&ID expertise, control systems knowledge, and safety engineering proficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in problem-solving, risk assessment, data analysis, and regulatory compliance, along with familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Engineering: Utilize a deep understanding of Process Engineering principles, including flow dynamics, thermodynamics, chemical reactions, and system operations, to design and optimize industrial processes.
- P&ID Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in reading, interpreting, and developing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), including knowledge of symbols, nomenclature, and system design principles.
- Control Systems: Apply knowledge of control system design, including logic diagrams, control narratives, and automation strategies, to develop effective control strategies for industrial processes.
- Safety Engineering: Employ an understanding of process safety management principles, safety instrumented systems, and risk analysis methodologies (e.g., HAZOP, LOPA) to ensure the safety and integrity of process operations.
- Problem-Solving: Identify potential issues in process design and operation and develop innovative solutions to enhance process efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analyze potential hazards, and evaluate the effectiveness of control measures to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis techniques to evaluate process data and trends, identify areas for improvement, and inform safety enhancements and technical decisions.
- Industry Standards: Stay abreast of relevant industry standards and best practices, including those from organizations such as the AIChE, API, and ISA, and apply them to ensure compliance and excellence in Process Engineering.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain an understanding of regulatory requirements related to process safety, environmental protection, and occupational health, and ensure that processes and systems adhere to applicable regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 8 years of experience in Process Engineering, preferably in the chemical, petrochemical, or manufacturing industries.
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and developing P&IDs.
- Strong knowledge of control system design and safety engineering principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools is desirable.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards in process safety and environmental protection.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
