What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role, you will be part of the Pivotal Attribute Sciences team, within the Process Development department at the Amgen Cambridge site in MA. As a Senior Associate, you will:

  • Support analytical method development (HPLC, UPLC, GC and other analytical techniques) to support clinical synthetic candidate molecules in the pivotal stage of development and conduct method qualification, routing test of samples for Process Development
  • Work collaboratively with other scientists on multidisciplinary teams
  • Work independently in advancing projects and studies within required deadlines.
  • Interpret results, author and review technical reports and assessments.
  • Other duties include maintenance of electronic notebook records of experimental data, and presentation of results in internal meetings

Basic qualifications:

  • High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Scientific or Operations experience OR
  • Associates degree and 4 years of Scientific or Operations experience OR
  • Bachelors degree and 2 years of Scientific or Operations experience OR
  • Masters degree

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical, Life Sciences or closely related field
  • 2+ years of scientific experience providing and driving analytical deliverables for pharmaceutical processes and product development
  • Expert knowledge of analytical methods/technologies for both routine and characterization testing using one or more of the following: U/HPLC, GC, LC-MS, and/or other techniques
  • Experience in data analysis, statistical analysis, method qualifications/transfers
  • Experience in applying troubleshooting and investigation methodologies for problem solving
  • Experience following Standard Operating Procedures within a laboratory setting
  • Familiarity with small molecule manufacturing processes
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple tasks as well as work as part of a team
  • Experience working with electronic lab notebook (ELN)
