PURPOSE
We are looking for a highly motivated, team oriented and hands-on assembly and Test Engineer to work in a fast-paced R&D team. The candidate will support assembly and test activities which includes setup, assembly, operate wafer probers and test equipment for MEMS based Probe Cards. You must be able to handle precision parts, troubleshoot using ohm/voltage meter, assembly of motherboards to stiffeners, interposers, and other sub-components. The ideal candidate will be able to perform both h/w & s/w troubleshooting and have extensive experience in test development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform assembly, test and troubleshooting for different MEMS Probe Card types.
- Play key role in new product introduction and qualification.
- Setup, operate, create device recipes, and troubleshoot wafer probers.
- Support test flow optimization, improve test coverage and reduce test time.
- Lead failure analysis, and yield enhancement activities
- Manage inventory of mechanicals, Probe Cards and other hardware
- Provide prober support, maintenance, and training to other team members.
- In charge of qualification of new assembly techniques, testing equipment and perform statistical data analysis on test results.
- Manage training, documentation, and transfer processes to production team.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent required
- Master’s Degree or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of work experience
- Hands on experience using lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, TDR, analyzers, multimeters etc.
- Experience with semiconductor equipment (Wafer probers, SMUs, switch matrices, network analyzers, etc.)
- Experience using statistical analysis methods utilizing software tools like JMP, MATLAB, and EXCEL
- Ability to read electrical schematics; experience debugging electronic hardware is a must.
- Strong background in Probe Cards, ATE, Failure Analysis, Process Engineering (DOE, 8D, SPC, document control, etc.)
- Excellent Project Management, Technical writing, Documentation, Communication, and Problem-Solving skills preferred.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary team
The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $131,600 and $172,700. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
