JOB DESCRIPTION:
A Pro Desk Associate, provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. Duties include but are not limited to: greet customers, help customers find specific products, use project knowledge to help customer make the best decision when working on a specific project, answer phone calls directed to department, create estimates, oversees order status and special orders, follows up with customers and works closely with other associates and management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- · Greet customers, provide assistance, ask questions and listen to identify their needs
- · Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions
- · Describe products and explain use, operation and care of products to customers
- · Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions
- · Communicates information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Dr. Ike’s programs and products
- · Monitors order status of products and special orders and communicates updates or issues with customers and associates
- · Works with customers to create design and details, researches ideas based on customers’ plans, recommends products/services, and provides customers with project estimates consistently gaining customers commitment to close the sale
- · Follows-up with customers to ensure all order and project requirements are satisfactorily met
- · Provides prompt support to all checkout functions, departmental pages, or requests for assistance
- · Monitors inventory levels to ensure they are adequate to support sales and asks for special orders and other merchandise to support local market needs
- · Attend trainings and courses assigned by management
- · Inspects merchandise to ensure it is correctly priced and displayed
- · Check signage for accuracy, timeliness and compliance with merchandising standardsMaintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices

- ·Exchange merchandise for customers and accept returns
- ·Clean shelves, counters, and tables
- ·Sell or arrange for delivery, insurance, financing, or service contracts for merchandise
- ·Estimate and quote trade-in allowances
- ·Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits
- ·Estimate quantity and cost of merchandise required, such as paint or floor covering
- ·Bag or package purchases and wrap gifts
- ·Estimate cost of repair or alteration of merchandise
- ·Rent merchandise to customers
- Use and knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS) software
- ·Spreadsheet software - Microsoft Excel

- · Prepare reports as requested by store management
- · Maintain clean and visually appealing product displays

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in the retail and/or service industry
- Must be able to utilize company point-of-sale system, Microsoft Work & Excel, and other 3rd party software applications at a basic level
- Must successfully pass all Company training
- Must be detail oriented and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Enthusiasm, high energy and ability to work in a team.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to use general math skills
- Must meet quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Honesty and courtesy are required
- Must possess demonstrated ability to manage physical assets and perform physical work, including the ability to bend, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and be able to frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
WORK AVAILABILITY
- Must be regularly available and willing to work at least 4 to 12 hours per day, at a minimum of 20 (Part-time employees) or 35 (Full-time employees) hours per week, or such other hours per day or weeks as management determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holiday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
