PRIVATE WEALTH ANALYST
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Partner with the Head of Business Owner Advisory Services (BOAS) in business development, thought leadership and market research to advise business owner prospects and clients. Support the team in delivering business transition analysis and planning materials for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.
Wealth Management Division: Private Banking
As a member of City National’s Wealth Management – Private Banking group, you will help deliver tailored advice and solutions to high- and ultra-high-net-worth families, select professional services firms and select nonprofits. Exceptional, customized service and integrated solutions and strategies, investment management, trust and wealth planning set this team apart.
What you will do
- Support BOAS team members in providing advice to private business owners/entrepreneurs on executing their business transition strategy
- Assist in developing thought leadership and marketing materials for Private Bankers by researching trends and performing market analyses using a variety of database tools
- Collaborate closely with Wealth Planners and Investment Consultants (including learning wealth planning and investment proposal tools) to assist in determining appropriate recommendations and provide services across the full product spectrum
- Partner with PB teams in business development initiatives
- Participate with CNB team on sales meetings/calls including pre-brief and de-brief meetings.
- Prepare alongside BOAS team members for speaking engagements (in-person or virtually) as well as actively participate from time-to-time
- As directed, evaluate deal terms and corporate documents and (in time) communicate guidance to the client/prospect
- Keep current on active client/prospect opportunities and ensure appropriate, timely follow-up is being provided
- Lead administrative projects and ongoing business management metrics tracking and reporting
- Maintain all appropriate training and continuing education requirements for licenses and certifications
Must-Have*
- 5 years of experience in investments, financial services, or other related industries including: investment banking, business valuation, M&A legal, private capital, consulting, or asset management
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint programs
- Minimum of 3 years working in a professional team environment
- Willingness to travel as needed
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses (or ability to obtain) required
