This role is in office Monday to Friday in New York City.
The Role
The Sales Desk Manager will lead a team of Relationship Management Associates (RMAs) and report to the Head of Internal Sales. The Sales Desk Manager will be responsible for day-to-day team management, developing strategy, and working closely with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Global Portfolio Strategy & Solutions. The ideal candidate has demonstrated strong sales experience, is passionate about coaching and development, and can create and manage to key KPIs.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching, leadership and mentorship for a team of Relationship Management Associates (Internal Wholesalers) across all channels in the Private Wealth organization.
  • Develop and execute career development and leadership plans; inclusive of but not limited to daily 1:1 mentoring, coaching on time management, objection handling, and active listening skills.
  • Evolve the current structure of KPIs to manage to outperformance of the RMAs.
  • Create and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth across Private Wealth.
  • Work with the Regional Market Leaders to drive external sales and accelerate performance of their internal partners.
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of Blue Owl strategies and the ability to articulate broader macroeconomic trends.
  • In partnership with Sales Service Manager, identify and drive initiatives that will enhance the client service experience and drive efficient operations across the business.
  • Participate in projects focused on leveraging additional value from Salesforce CRM (client/prospect insight, kit leads and pipeline management).
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring and onboarding across internal sales.
  • Work with other key stakeholders (Marketing, Portfolio Strategy & Solutions, Strategic Partnerships) to align on key initiatives and execute against firm wide goals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in the financial services industry, alternative sales experience preferred.
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, and 24 required.
  • 2-3+ years of experience managing a team of analyst/associate level individuals.

  • Demonstrated track record of motivating high performing sales teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a diverse team with varying experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, project management skills, and business management reporting experience.
  • Experience in developing subject matter expertise of a sales process - knowledge of alternative industry, fund vehicles and associated support needs for our client segmentation.
  • Passion for talent development and coaching.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships.
  • Highly motivated and proactive self-starter.
  • Excels at problem solving and continuous improvement techniques
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $160,000 to $185,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
