Private Event Cooridinator & Wine Tasting Specialist (full time)

Aubrey Vineyards, an Overland Park winery, is now hiring a full timePrivate Event Coordinator & Wine Tasting Specialist.

This full-time combination position of Private Event Coordinator & Wine Tasting Specialistposition at Aubrey Vineyards will have the primary responsibility to plan and implement all Private Events at The Vineyard Tasting Room location while also performing wine service functions in the tasting room. A successful candidate for this position will have high attention to detail, be highly motivated, a self-starter, have extreme initiative, an amazing positive attitude, outgoing personality and a “can do” attitude! As a member of a 3-person lead team in the tasting room, this position will be expected to offer leadership and guidance to all part time tasting room staff.

Specific Private Event Coordinator Position Expectations:

1. Contact new incoming event request clients as quickly as possible.

2. Record all event request details in a tracker log information file regarding event requests that come in as well as maintain all updates from previous/ongoing event request discussions.

3. Follow up on event request 2 days after initial call/contact was made.

4. Be present in Tasting Room to help promote Private Events and answer direct questions about Private Events.

5. Develop and implement new package/event ideas to generate more reservations/events monthly.

6. Work along with Marketing and Public Event Coordinators for the setup of Aubrey Vineyard events, reservation systems, and packages.

7. Demonstrate flexibility and creativity when handling potential clients’ requests for events and reservations.

8. Look for ways to be proactive in ways/ideas/solutions in getting events and reservations booked here.

9. Calling and setting up additional needs/rentals/etc. for events and reservations.

10. Be on-site for all events happening at Aubrey Vineyards.

11. Any other tasks requested to be completed by management as well as assisting other two Coordinators in a teamwork way.

Specific Wine Tasting Specialist Expectations:

1. Perform all job aspects of the Tasting Room including performing Wine Tasting experiences, completing opening/closing procedures with rest of team, providing excellent customer service in a fast pace environment.

2. As a member of a 3-person lead team in the tasting room, this position will be expected to offer leadership and guidance to all part time tasting room staff.

3. Offer positive and fun table side service for guests in a way that is reflective and supportive of the Aubrey Vineyard brand image.

4. Work to ensure balance between event planning functions and tasting room service functions. Both are important, but immediate and prompt customer service always takes precedent.

The AV Tasting Experience team moves at a fast pace, carries a positive attitude and fosters a creative and outgoing reputation in the local wine industry.

• Our Tasting Experience Specialists help our guests on their personal wine journey.
• Candidates should enjoy wine or express a desire to learn about wines.
• New Hires are trained extensively on wines as well as the experience we strive to offer every guest.
• Candidates should have the ability to stand for long periods of time, work outside on patio and be able to lift and carry 40-pound cases of wine. Must be 21 years of age.
• Pay starts at $13 per hour (based on experience), plus tips and plus commissions.
