Basic Job Function:
This position is responsible for the daily repairs and maintenance of all Lauderdale Tennis Club Courts and surrounding facilities, including Clubhouse, Pool, Gym, Lockerooms and Dog Park. Applicants should be versed with the following
- Irrigation (PVC) plumbing installing and repair
- Ability to drive Golf Carts
- Enjoy working outside
- Shift Work

Use of Company Vehicle: Golf Carts
Minimum Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of tennis maintenance, engineering or grounds keeping not required but welcomed.
- Ability to grasp new mechanical tasks and problem solve as needed
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability and desire to work as a team and communicate with co-workers
- Must have the ability to courteously present information to people in one-on-one and group situations

Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Daily maintenance of facility, including but not limited:
- Achieve optimal playing surface on all courts through appropriate sweeping techniques prior to first reservation and at mid-day break, or as needed
- Tidy and clean all outdoor common areas including, shoe baths, furniture, maintenance equipment, garbage cans, locker rooms
- Ensure all windscreens and nets are in proper working order and repair as needed or report severe damage.
- Ensure locker rooms are stocked, tidy and in working order to Club standards, notifying appropriate department for repairs as needed
- Consistently ensure courts are free of mold, drains are clear of debris and clay is in optimal playing condition
- Monitor and maintain sprinkler system for all courts, Court Maintenance Supervisor and working through director of tennis for needed repairs
- Maintain and manage supply of replenishment-clay throughout the year and schedule needed resurfacing
- Maintain and repair as needed all tools and equipment
- Ensure all maintenance sheds and storage facilities are neat, organized and to code
- Responsible for maintaining safe and workable equipment
- Assist in the training of employees in proper use of equipment and tools
- Inspecting, diagnosing and repairing all mechanical defects and problems with maintenance equipment and facilities
- maintain inventory of supplies and parts used in the shop for equipment repairs
- Excavation and fill work as required, cleaning, brushing and debris removal, polishing, burnishing, pressure washing, scrapping and other general cleaning duties
- Handling chemicals and safely following all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) procedures
- Ensure all facility landscaping is to resort standards, working through resort grounds as needed
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas
- Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing
- Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures
- Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately
- Attends all scheduled employee meetings.
- Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to access difficult areas
- Must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
- Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 80 lbs bags of clay.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
