Job Description
ESM Prep is seeking an energetic and engaging after-school tutor in Sacramento for a pair of siblings in the 3rd and 5th grades to assist with homework and executive functioning/organization 3 to 4 days a week for 2 to 3 hours per session. The ideal candidate will quickly connect with the students and create a fun and inspiring atmosphere to promote learning.
We call our tutors Academic Mentors because we prioritize the holistic development of each of our students. All applicants should be passionate about working with youth and should have previous experience tutoring, teaching, and/or coaching.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years direct experience tutoring or teaching Elementary School content.
- Availability to tutor during weekdays (usually after 3 PM) and weekends 3-4 days per week for 2-3 hours per session. Some weekday sessions will start late due to after-school activities. Scheduling is flexible
- Availability to tutor through June 2024 at a minimum
- Experience working with students with learning differences is a plus
Compensation:
- $40 per hour teaching rate
