StudentNest is looking to hire motivated Academic Tutors to work with Elementary and Middle School students in Math and ELA.
Work Location: School sites in Cudahy, CA and Gardena, CA
Work type: In person. Tutoring 1st-8th grade students in Math and/or ELA
Schedule: Mondays-Thursdays from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. PDT (times are approximate);15-20 hours per week (in-person/virtual)
Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
We can offer additional virtual tutoring hours if the in-person requirement is met.
About Us:
StudentNest (Los Angeles Unified School District) is in immediate need of part-time Academic Tutors. Mondays-Thursdays from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. PDT. If you live in the Downey area, we encourage you to apply! www.studentnest.com.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years tutoring experience, K-8 grade level is required.
- Applicants must have established proficiency on subject matter, be detail oriented and highly dependable and have the ability to communicate effectively.
- Reliable transportation and valid vehicle insurance.
- StudentNest on site personnel must have a negative tuberculosis skin test reading.

Salary:
- $22.00 per hour
- We generally pay between $22.00 per hour depending on experience, location, and a few other factors.
Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week
