Shift: M-F 8am - 4pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operation of Solvent Recovery Unit
• Pull out empty ink drums
• Change solvent filters
• Assist Ink Techs as needed
o Moving Drums
o Stripping Plates
o Prepare hazardous waste for shipments weekly
o Clean Twin Locks
o Staging Jobs
o Clean and prepare parts for Printing Presses as needed
o Staging Drum
• Operation of Press Anilox Cleaning Unit
• Inspection of Press Anilox Rollers
• Maintain documentation that shows the anilox roller cell volumes are within specifications and communicate with Press Dept. Mgr. when they cannot be brought into spec.
• Record keeping and documentation on distill batches on a shift basis
• Regular, consistent attendance and punctuality are essential to the job.
• Report all food safety violations to management.
- Other duties as assigned
- Participate in Sonoco’s Performance System (SPS) activities as required – 5Star, Pillar Teams, Audits, Near Misses, etc.

Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent job experience
Training Requirements:
- Review Company (Corporate and Divisional) policies and procedures
- Personal Safety
- GMP Training
- Food Safety and Quality Systems requirements and procedures
- Review Food Safety and Quality System policies
- Explanation of departments and their roles
- Job Specific Training
- Review production schedule
- Familiarize with vendor base, Products and Production Processes
- Solvent Recovery Unit
- Press Anilox Cleaning Unit
- Physical, Mental and Visual Demands:
- Moderate to heavy physical effort performing duties/work activities – Need to lift 30-50 lbs.
- Continuous Mental/Visual attention required
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
