• Bachelor's degree, or CISSP-ISSAP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional-Information Systems Security Architecture Professional) or CISSP-ISSEP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional-Information Systems Security Engineering Professional)
• 12+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 10+ years of design, implementation, software development or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• Experience effectively communicating to and presenting technical solutions to a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-Level senior leadership, program managers, IT management, technical architects, and developers.
• Experience with responding to requests for proposals (e.g., determining requirements, matching requirements to technical approach and solutions, developing solutions against requirements) experience
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

As a Solutions Architect within AWS, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services (e.g., Amazon Lambda, Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, and Amazon CloudFront) directly with our ecosystem of systems integrators, consulting and technology partners. Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform; and being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.
Provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership while working with a world class sales and business development team. You will lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge with the AWS solution architect community. You will gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years in a technical leadership role e.g. CTO, Head of Technology, Engineering/Technology Director, General Manager, Principal Solutions Architect, Distinguished Architect/Engineer, etc.
• Management and/or strategy consulting experience
• Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers.
• Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, & storage architectures.
• Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
• Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA and FedRAMP.
