In this exciting role as aPrincipal Fab Process Integration Engineer, you will lead the innovation, development and/or optimization of new manufacturing concepts, processes, and procedures for transfer to manufacturing operations.
This position will work onsite at our manufacturing site in Tempe, Arizona.
A Day in the Life
The Principal ProcessIntegration Engineer is responsible for developing and transferring highly stable, cost-effective, and scalable processes into manufacturing. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams from R&D through manufacturing transfer phase of product development. You will lead the overall value stream development, manufacturability metrics (KPIs), risk burndown and line stability at launch. You will leverage your deep knowledge of semiconductor fab processes and advanced data analysis techniques to drive yield improvements.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Collaborate with product design and development team to establish manufacturing process requirements and ensure requirements are manufacturable.
- Lead and mentor Process Engineers at all phases of process development including scouting and feasibility work, material selection, process and equipment selection, tooling / fixture and equipment installation and assessment of inputs, outputs, and alignment to requirements.
- Apply advanced statistical methods and science-based decisions to design experiments and implement improvements.
- Lead technical risk burn down activities. Own and resolve process interaction risks and issues.
- Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques including the measurement systems.
- Perform equipment qualifications (IQ), process validations (Process characterization, OQ and PQ), and gage R&R studies (TMV)
- Perform necessary experiments to establish robust processes. Monitor, root cause and resolve process yield issues.
- Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module target specifications and technology target specifications.
- Generate and maintain documentation per quality system regulations.
- Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 7 years relevant engineering experience or a Master's Degree and a minimum of 5 years relevant engineering experience.
Desired qualifications:
- Extensive experience developing and launching medical device or similar high-tech manufacturing processes
- Deep knowledge and experience in semiconductor fab manufacturing processes (metals, etch, photo, cvd, etc.)
- Experience owning and developing entire value stream
- Experience in developing a process from concept to transfer in manufacturing and/or Experience working in a high-volume facility
- Experience with DRM / DFSS, Lean Sigma, or Green/Black Belt Lean Sigma certification
- Knowledge of DOE, statistical analysis methods and data analysis tools (Minitab, JMP, etc.)
- PhD in materials, mechanical, biomedical, industrial engineering, or similar discipline

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations).The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience,certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
