Job Summary:

In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

This is for the role of Principal Systems Engineer within Systems Integration & Test in the Mobile Sensors & Weapon Systems Department. This individual will be a Sub-Lead within the LTAMDS verification team and manage a small subset of verification engineers with varying experience levels.

This position is an onsite role in Tewksbury MA. Occasional travel is expected, up to 10% travel

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Provides direction over a subset of the verification team that consists of System Integration and Test (SI&T) Engineers. Work directly with Verification Leadership and SI&T Leadership to establish and meet program milestones.
  • Develop and participate in gate reviews, as well as report status metrics for your team to leadership.
  • Provide training as needed, understand the scope, cost and schedule of the team, and define and delegate tasking for your team.
  • Perform verification test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting.
  • Prepare verification documentation, such as plans, procedures, and technical memorandums.
  • Regularly present to internal and external customers on verification status and technical details

Basic Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 or more years of prior relevant experience with System Verification.
  • Experience leading small teams
  • Experience with MATLAB or other programmatic language
  • Experience with System Verification
  • Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. US Citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience interfacing with internal and external customers and finding technical solutions to complex requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills to maintain effective working relationships with team members and customers.
  • Experience with DOORS
  • Experience with generating technical documentation in support of requirements integration and verification.
  • Experience managing engineers and delegating tasks.
  • Experience in Earned Value, managing scope, cost and schedule.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
