Installation Project Engineer Intern

A little bit about the projects:

Vineyard Offshore brings industry-leading experience to the emerging US-based offshore wind market. Owned by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, half of the joint venture behind the Vineyard Wind 1 project, Vineyard Offshore is focused on developing projects that will deliver clean, renewable, and cost-effective offshore wind power around North America. In addition to Vineyard Wind 1, Vineyard Offshore currently owns three additional US lease areas that together can generate at least 3.5 gigawatts of offshore wind energy to power a minimum of two million homes along the Northeastern, Mid-Atlantic and Northern California coasts.

A little bit about the department:

The Installation Project Engineer Intern will collaborate with the Installation Manager within the WTG package. Responsibilities for this team include overseeing the logistics and construction of the Wind Turbines for the Vineyard Wind project. The construction element has two key segments the preassembly and storage activities conducted at the New Bedford port, and the subsequent installation at the offshore wind farm site.

Schedule: Part-time or Full-time in our New Bedford office

Reports to: Installation Manager

What you’ll do:

• Generate analysis/reports for offshore and onshore operations
• Update and maintain claim sheet in collaboration with GE and DEME
• Assist site managers in collecting information for the Daily Progress Report (DPE)
• Compile documentation and prepare an internal handover packet for the Commissioning Team

What you’ll bring:

• Recent B.S. graduate or post-grad with a preference in Engineering and an interest in US energy policy and commercial development of renewables
• Solid problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Good organizational, verbal, and technical written communication
• Effective time management skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PPT, Excel)
