Seeking motivated 1st shift Engineer to fill key Maintenance, Repair and Engineering support role at Raytheon, Metrology & Test Equipment Maintenance Engineering (MTEME) Department, located in Andover MA. The MTEME department performs approximately 14,000 annual Calibrations, 12,000 annual repairs, and offers maintenance repair and calibration support for over 450 test platforms supporting numerous production programs. The MTEME Department provides electrical and mechanical calibration and repair services of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) test equipment as well as unique manual and automatic test systems. Must be able to effectively operate in a high tempo operations environment often with numerous revolving priorities. Must be capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing complex activities, often times with actions requiring coordination across multiple support areas of expertise such as: Test Engineering, Test Equipment Design and Development, and various Operations and Quality disciplines.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Candidate will work on First Shift with minimal supervision supporting various functional areas of Andover plant.
Will work with represented technicians to troubleshoot faults in robotic, automated, and semi-automated test equipment including circuit board testers, functional testers, and RF test stations
Troubleshooting includes repair of COTS test equipment and often highly complex automated production test stations, often to component level
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, asonly U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong familiarity with electronics, RF, as well as physical and dimensional and mechanical aspects of interfacing applications
Experience developing, editing, and improving preventative maintenance, and calibration procedures, using intuitive techniques and methodologies
Able to guide technicians in troubleshooting methodologies where vendor information is incomplete or lacking. Able to access, develop, and modify TEMR procedures as needed
Able to balance multiple assignments simultaneously
Experience with Six Sigma and LEAN 6S principles, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
Prior experience using Calibration Control Systems such as IndySoft and familiarity with ANSI Z540 and, or, ISO17025

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
