Principal Signal Processing Engineer, Boston, MA (Onsite)
Responsibilities
Our esteemed client seeks a visionary Principal Signal Processing Engineer to lead groundbreaking initiatives in Signal Processing technology. As the driving force behind our innovative projects, you will conduct extensive literature surveys, meticulously evaluating cutting-edge receiver algorithms. Utilizing your expertise and the power of MATLAB, you will conduct high-stakes trade studies to identify optimal solutions and present your findings to our esteemed sponsors and collaborators.
But your role doesn't end there. You will serve as the architect of transformation, translating your recommendations into actionable design specifications. Collaborating seamlessly with our Software (SW) and Hardware Description Language (HDL) teams, you will oversee the development and realization of deliverable products, ensuring they exceed industry standards.
In addition to your core responsibilities, you will spearhead the development of novel waveforms and electronic attack and protection systems, contributing to the entire life cycle of our fielded products. Your impact will extend beyond the confines of our organization, as you present your insights and recommendations at prestigious forums like MILCOM, mentor aspiring Signal Processing talents, and drive innovation through patents and white papers.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field.
- Profound expertise in communications and information theory, adaptive Signal Processing, detection and estimation theory, and array processing.
- Proficiency in prototyping, simulating, and testing systems using MATLAB.
Desired Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of electromagnetics, RF design, and acoustics.
- Familiarity with systems courses such as SONAR and RADAR.
- Eagerness to explore diverse computing architectures, including GPP, GPU, FPGA, and Full Custom ASICs.
- Ability to acquire and maintain Top Secret clearance.
