  • A generous PTO policy
  • Paid parental leave

At SproutFive (formerly South Side Early Learning), we are a pioneering nonprofit with a startup spirit, dedicated to providing every child with a holistic, high-quality early education. We are on a mission to ensure all children thrive during their critical first five years of life.
As our schools Principal, you will be a cornerstone in advancing our educational mission, overseeing all operations and instructional quality across our Early Childhood centers. Your leadership will directly influence key metrics such as enrollment, compliance, teacher retention, and kindergarten readiness. You'll cultivate a supportive and engaging environment for students, families, and educators alike, while embodying the values and mission of SproutFive.
The role excites you because you will:
  • Oversee all aspects of our Early Childhood centers, ensuring they meet or exceed enrollment, compliance, and quality metrics
  • Develop and manage a current team of 4 School Directors and 48 teachers and upcoming schools as we grow
  • Work with the Finance Team to oversee budgets for each school location
  • Partner with the Schools and Community Engagement Team for family attendance, retention, and enrollment
  • Coordinate with the Center for Early Childhood Innovation and the NUDL Institute for Professional Learning to align research and professional development to classroom practice
  • Implement and oversee a trauma-responsive and social-emotional learning environment
  • Engage with all stakeholders, including directors, teachers, parents, and children
  • Drive the professionalization of our workforce through ongoing training and development
  • Ensure all schools complete applications for publicly funded childcare and maintain accurate records

Day-by-day you will:
  • Provide leadership in the operations and management of our schools, supporting School Directors in their roles
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as enrollment, compliance audits, teacher retention, and kindergarten readiness
  • Be the go-to resource for uplifting teachers and building a culture of learning
  • Shape and execute the vision for our curriculum and classroom practices
We're excited about you because:
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • You have 8-10 years of leadership experience, preferably in an educational setting
  • You understand licensure and compliance regulations, with bonus points for Early Childhood program experience
  • You possess excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • You are passionate about SproutFive's mission and the impact of early education
You will love working with us because:
  • We offer progressive, employee-centered benefits and invest in our team
  • We empower team members to be autonomous and provide a collaborative environment
  • We encourage authenticity at work and champion diversity and inclusion
  • We work to uplift families across Ohio and beyond
  • We are unapologetic in our support for those who support our children
  • We are committed to radical innovation for the good of our mission
SproutFive is committed to building an inclusive organization that represents the people and communities we serve. We encourage members of traditionally underrepresented communities to apply, including women, people of color, veterans, LGBTQ+ people, and people with disabilities.
