Collins Aerospace is looking for a Principal Delivery Assurance Procurement Specialist for their Windsor Locks, CT location.

The Principal Delivery Assurance Procurement Specialist will monitor the transportation and delivery of products. Track and manage Supplier work in process (WIP), promise dating, expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow. You may oversee command center and drive part shortage resolution. You will monitor tracking and shipping. This candidate will perform escalated expediting when required. Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity. Direct and manage all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family. You will ensure product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost.

This is a HYBRID position located in Windsor Locks, CT. Relocation may be available.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage small projects or processes.
  • Have advanced knowledge of work area.
  • Work autonomously with limited oversight from manager.
  • Coach and review the work of lower level professionals.
  • Influence others regarding policies, practices and procedures.
  • Manages Delivery Assurance processes and / or works to achieve day-to-day Delivery Assurance objectives.
  • Implements solutions to issues such as the coordination of shipments, sub-process suppliers and technical assistance to ensure on-time delivery, and to identify root causes that impacts on-time delivery.
  • Implements process improvements and deploys Delivery Assurance system to ensure early identification of shortages.
  • Collaborates with other departments as necessary with regard to meeting customer requirements, minimizing negative impacts on a business in the case of shortages.
  • Ensures timely delivery of all materials required for the production of assigned complex components.
  • Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution.
  • Approves and qualifies vendors to fulfill account needs.
  • Responds to client issues or problems.
  • Authorizes purchase orders and approves payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
  • Analyzes and reviews price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
  • Prepares and reviews request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
  • Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • SAP Experience
  • MS Office Proficient (EXCEL/WORD/PPT/OUTLOOK)
  • FAR knowledge

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
