Optum's Growth Strategy and Operations (GSO) team is a diverse team of highly motivated, experienced, and disciplined leaders working across the organization delivering technology, services, and best practice programs to support growth. Technology is essential to enabling growth, as it creates simple and efficient connection points across the sales and client lifecycle. Our growth technology team is made up of skilled engineers, developers, and architects, informed by capability owners for each growth technology owned by the Growth Strategy and Operations team.
We are seeking for an energized, organized, and collaborative team member who can skillfully partner across various growth, functional and business partners to inform our Data Warehouse strategy and delivery. You will join a team of data scientists, engineers, and growth analysts to design, build and maximize the value of Optum's information assets with emphasis on the Growth BIG Data Warehouse. The warehouse is the source of truth for Optum enterprise client and growth data by bringing together data from over 70 sources to enhance our understanding of our clients and prospective clients.
This role will help constituents better understand the information that supports their business activities, while working to provide powerful insights to a large growth organization. Primary Responsibilities:
- Working directly with stakeholders to define and/or analyze their business requirements, documenting functional specifications and creating mock-ups and prototypes where needed
- Contribute to the design, configuration, acceptance, and delivery of the warehouse capabilities
- Represent stakeholders in the agile environment acting as the voice for the business users with an ability to fully articulate their business needs and the value associated with the delivered features and capabilities
- Fully contribute to iteration planning, backlog maintenance, sprint planning, product demonstrations and retrospectives
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with partners and business owners in an environment of open and trusted communication
- Develops and maintains product roadmap and models designed to ensure achievement of enterprise growth goals and enabling strategic growth initiatives
- Develop and maintain high quality and accessible product documentation methods and standards
- Establish and apply quality objectives, criteria, and standards using appropriate quality management methods including stakeholder input and measurable key performance indicators
- Understands where data resides and how best to leverage data sets by recommending solutions to present actionable data insights utilizing a broad knowledge of data technologies including big data and relational databases

Required Qualifications:
- 7 years project, program, or product management experience with emphasis on using data to inform business insights and decisions
- 7 years demonstrated analytical and reasoning skills
- 7 years of demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with excellent presentation abilities
- 7 years of comprehensive and detailed business analysis, data flow and technical requirements documentation skills
- 7 years of experience in gathering, compiling, interpreting, and harmonizing complex data sources and structures
- 7 years of experience working with complex data environments across multiple data platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse technology
- Experience with Tableau or similar business intelligence and analytics technology
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools
- Familiarity with both 'Dimensional' and 'Data Vault' Data Warehouse modeling methodologies
- Proven critical thinking abilities with a demonstrated aptitude for effective negotiation and conflict resolution using a diplomatic and fact-based approach and demeanor
- Demonstrated ability to identify barriers and provide solution-oriented support to drive resolution
- Proven confidently able to write and interpret basic SQL queries, with a strong understanding of data granularity and join techniques
- Proven solid communication and leadership skills and experience presenting to multiple levels of leadership

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
