THE ROLE
As the Principal Business Analyst - Syteline, you will enhance the Syteline business capability through information systems while providing information system support for day-to-day business activities. You will partner with the business leads to provide new functionality that is identified, communicate status and risk in current work and act as a liaison between the business and the technical teams. You will provide the business with a vision of the solution and work with the technical teams to get it accomplished.
YOUR IMPACT
- Lead the process for identifying and gathering appropriate business requirements to create the necessary solution to satisfy business needs
- Serve as an IT Business Analyst expert in Syteline and understanding business requirements, system documentation and implementation of quality software solutions
- Manage changes to requirements, assess impacts of changes, and track requirements from business case to implemented solution
- Provide tier 2 functional and technical support for the day-to-day IT support tickets using the service desk ticket tracking system
- Execute and define test scenarios, plans, strategies, and the creation of test scripts
- Supervise the integration of testing for cross-functional projects and provide support for user acceptance testing
- Lead the cross functional test plan creation and partner with business unit subject matter experts (SME) to develop test scripts
- Define applications changes required because of support and log development requests in the application development tracking system
- Develop and present business relevant presentations with regard to information systems to co-workers, business areas supported and occasionally executives
- Partner with the IT infrastructure team with regard to technical framework needs or troubleshooting support issues
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in the IT/computer-related field
- 8+ years of IT experience supporting ERP and related business applications
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
- Recent experience with one of the following ERP solutions: Syteline 7.x, JD Edwards Enterprise One 9.x, Great Plains, Syspro and related add-on solutions
- Experience working in a world-wide and complex manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of business processes and technology
- Experience and knowledge of multi-tier and cross-platform architectures
- Technical expertise using SQL
