Role Purpose
Responsible for analyzing market and deals specific pricing. Make pricing recommendations taking into account the value proposition and overall commercial. Ensuring services are priced competitively in the market while aligning with the company's financial objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Understand key market trends, changing customer requirements, solutions-based approaches and competitor activity and ensure our standard pricing remains relevant to the market.
- Work with different stakeholders to understand our value proposition for customer specific solutions.
- Work closely with sales teams to negotiate pricing and commercials.
- Utilize financial metrics to ensure overall pricing and commercials are acceptable.
- Ability to analyze large datasets to identify patterns and trends along with opportunities for optimizing pricing strategies.
- Ability to create visualizations, such as graphs, charts, and dashboards, to communicate the findings to stakeholders.
- Utilizing a data-driven approach to develop pricing recommendations.
- Develop and maintain dashboards which continuously monitor the performance of pricing evaluating the impact on revenue.
- Work with systems teams to maintain relevant pricing tools. Ensure pricing changes are updated in the systems and changes are cascaded to relevant teams throughout the business.
Individual/ Leadership Profile
- Highly proficient in excel - ability to manipulate large dataset and create charts to present data in simple way to stakeholders to understand.
- Experience in financial modelling – understand what the key financial metrics to measure profitability.
- Self-starter – initiatives to identify problems, challenges, or opportunities and takes action to address them. Take ownership of their work and outcomes.
- Comfortable working independently and can make decisions without constant input from others.
- Communicate to different level stakeholder - ability to tailor messaging to audience specific needs and perspectives.
- Pressure Resistant. The role necessarily involves a certain amount of mediation and robust debate between parties with different interest. Candidates need to be comfortable with constructive conflict.
