Prevention Supervisor - Ft, St George

Pay Range: $22.14 - $33.57/hr (DOE)

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Works under the general supervision of the Program Director of Prevention Services

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Provides general supervision to assigned staff in two to three counties, including supervision and approval of time, assigned grants, county and coalition action plans, staff training, budgets, and other duties as assigned.

• Meets all of the performance expectations of a Prevention Specialist, (see Southwest Behavioral Health Center Prevention Specialist Job Description & Specification).
• Reviews and approves time cards and weekly schedules.
• Conducts Quarterly Personal Development Plan meetings with supervised staff, sets and tracks goals, and monitors' progress. (One PDP meeting should be coordinated yearly with the Prevention Director).
• Meets monthly with supervised staff to discuss needs, action plans, objectives, gaps, etc.
• Monitors grants and budgets, and meets monthly with Program Director to review.
• Performs related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education, Experience and Licensure

1. Graduation from college with a bachelor degree in the social sciences or some other related field - OR - Demonstrates proof of enrollment and progress toward a bachelor's degree.

AND

1. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience performing above or related duties - OR - an equivalent combination of education and experience

AND

1. Current Licensure as a Prevention Specialist through state licensing board, IC&RC, or equivalent credentialing agency.

AND

1. Certified as a Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training (SAPST) Instructor, through SAMHSA or CSAP.

AND

1. Certified as a National Coalition Academy (NCA) graduate or as a Communities That Care coach.

AND

1. Certification as a Southwest Senior Prevention Specialist - OR - Demonstrate proof of progress toward Senior Prevention Specialist status.

1. Able to pass background check (BCI) if working with vulnerable populations.

1. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
