• Works with the coordinator to plan, organize and conduct evidence-based substance use prevention education and overdose prevention education programs.
• Provide community prevention education and communication campaigns in Gallatin, Hamilton, and White Counties.
• Provide overdose education and naloxone distribution throughout a designated service area.
• Speaks before various community groups; prepares lecture materials and resource lists.
• Attend meetings with private, public and community groups throughout the service area.
• Educate the community about the current heroin/opioid epidemic and overdose prevention.
• Attend regional meetings and trainings in regards to substance use prevention, overdose prevention and the overdose epidemic.
• Maintain records and submit all required documentation and reports.
• Develop and work with Youth Advisory Council (YAC) within at least one school, 12 student minimum.
• Promote and support IYS implementation in all service area schools.
• Participates in the preparation, selection, and dissemination of health education materials; evaluates the effectiveness of various health education methods and techniques, carries out studies and surveys to develop new or improve existing health educat
• Establish and further develop cooperative working relationships with community members, business owners, coalitions and various community health agencies and organizations.
