JOB SUMMARY
Operate residential or commercial presses
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Adjust machine parts as needed to ensure proper speed, pressure, temperature for quality production.
- Monitor and control machines on a daily basis to maintain daily and weekly production schedule.
- Complete quality checks and paperwork every day to maintain production and industry regulations and company standards.
- Make sure work environment remains safe, uncluttered, clean and well-maintained by performing maintenance and general janitorial duties throughout shift as time allows.
- Look over all work orders and instructions to see which materials are needed to complete orders to full customer satisfaction.
- Understand shop orders, quantities, substrates, and patterns
- Understanding the press schedule, defects and how to correct them
- Understanding the Rewind/Unwind and all functions of the press
- Make adjustments to manage the ink distribution, speed, and temperatures
- Oil and clean the presses and make minor repairs and perform preventative maintenance
- Start presses and standards for print quality, registration, and coverage. Make adjustments as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Previous experience operating a forklift
- Previous experience in a warehouse/production environment preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to stand, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, pivot/twist, balance, and climb.
- Must be able to lift at least 60 lbs. floor to waist FREQUENT, carry at least 60 lbs. FREQUENT, and push and pull at least 48 lbs. of force OCCASIONAL.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work activities occur in an inside workspace where extreme heat and cold may occur. There are fans for ventilation. Work activities may encounter wet floors, dust and fumes.
