Job Description
Basic Scope/Purpose: Operates presses and performs secondary operations as need to complete work orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates assigned stamping press.
- Completes all paperwork associated with each assigned automated assembly machine, i.e., work order traveler, lot/reel labels, box content form, machine maintenance schedule, etc.
- Perform all visual inspections for slugmarks, malformed and/or damaged parts, etc.
- Responsible for checking camber, twist, and hard gage checks, insertion force and withdrawal force and recording results as indicated on the QIP Inspection Data Sheet.
- Maintain appropriate supplies at each assigned machine necessary to complete work order timely.
- Change reels or boxes at completion of a lot, verify reel / lot count and apply appropriate identification labels.
- Empty slug pans at assigned presses at the end of each shift, at a minimum. Empty slug pans upon completion of work order.
- Move finished products to designated area in warehouse.
- Follow safe work practices and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Add designated stamping lubricant to reservoirs as needed.
- Empty waste oil into designated containers as needed.
- Manage time effectively to maximize production.

Requirements:Skills & Physical Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with team.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
