About the Role
To support manufacturing by safely and efficiently performing assigned tasks and work to achieve safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping goals.
Your Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Follow plant safety rules and procedures; use safe work habits for assigned position, including wearing specified personal protective equipment
Insure quality of all parts produced in assigned work area
Learn all aspects of all parts produced in assigned work area, including critical quality factors, customer needs and acceptable standards
Set up, operate and perform adjustments on all equipment in assigned area
Check all settings and pressures and document discrepancies in white book
Operate presses and auxiliary equipment as required
Complete documentation and reports as required
Maintain accurate records
Communicate effectively with previous/next shift associates for carry-over of information
Use computer and software as directed
Attend training as required
Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example
Read, follow and become familiar with all details and instructions in white operations books
Participate in Continual Improvement activities
Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Able to demonstrate understanding of how job performance affects product quality and customer satisfaction
Able to work well with others in a team environment; build and maintain positive employee relations
Able to prepare, read and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures and guidelines
Able to use various inspection fixtures and gauges
Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, suppliers and customers
Able to work flexible hours and overtime
Able to calculate figures and amounts, such as percentages and proportions
Able to use computer and software as required
Able to lift up to 30 pounds
Education / Experience and Required Training
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
Prefer some mechanical skills
