JOB SUMMARY
1st Web Press Operator Lead oversees team and ensures they operate and maintain printing presses. Principle duties include installing and adjusting printing plates, loading and feeding paper and controlling ink flow. Ensuring the quality of the final printed piece. 1st Web Press Operator Lead manages and oversees the operation of a printing press and ensures quality in the printed results, the functioning of the machine, and other quality assurance checks.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Interfaces with supervision and line employees to ensure product is produced efficiently within quality specifications.
• Operate machinery in efficient manner in accordance with company standards.
• Responsible for the set-up and follow through on product from start to finish according to specifications.
• Assists in training general workers and lower classification employees.
• Assists in routine maintenance and minor repairs on the press as needed.
• Maintain level of housekeeping that complies with company standards.
• Other duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• H.S. diploma or equivalent
• Must have 3 years’ experience as a pressman on web presses
• Color vision
