Description
Recruits, trains, and schedules Prestonwood Baptist Church (PBC) Childcare Teachers for all nursery activities; recruits, trains, and maintains volunteer greeting team for KIDZ Ministry
Responsibilities:
- Recruits, trains, schedules, and has constant communication with Childcare Teachers for assigned age group classrooms including weekends, women's Bible study, Christmas, Easter, etc.
- Ensures volunteer screening processes are followed
- Uses Planning Center each week as a scheduling tool
- In conjunction with Plano Childcare Coordinator, designs and delivers appropriate training for all workers
- Works with the Plano Preschool Ministry Coordinator to coordinate coverage across campuses when needed
- Follows up with prospects from the preschool ministry as assigned by the Minister to Preschool North Campus
- Works with resource coordinator to requisition and allocate supplies as needed
- Ensures staffing levels meet weekly needs as well as unusual or last-minute needs
- Reviews and writes curriculum for delivery in covered ministry areas (Wednesday morning bible study, VBS, etc.)
- Assists with planning for expansion, additional staffing, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC North Campus
- Previous experience with recruiting, training staff
- Have a joyful passion for the Preschool and Children's Ministry
- Some college
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Continuous use of computer and phone
- Ability to move about to accomplish tasks
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance
- Able to perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as in climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, where the activities may require considerable use of the arms and legs
