Split position in which the employee will help prep food and menu items according to established recipes and procedures as directed by the Executive Chef as well as attend to washing dishes following all safety and sanitation procedures. Will participate in opening and closing duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Preps food and garnishes to assist in duties of kitchen cooks as needed.
Responsible for the setup and breakdown of the dish area.
Maintains a sanitary dishwashing area and food prep area(s).
Wash dishes on a regular basis using chemicals in the process.
Must be knowledgeable of all chemicals used in the kitchen and proper storage of such chemicals.
Responsible for the operation of and cleaning of kitchen equipment as directed by the Executive Chef.
Assists with cleaning and maintaining all kitchen areas including, but not limited to, sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing countertops and utensils.
Upholds the kitchen sanitation and food service safety standards.
Required to maintain an updated West Virginia Food Handlers Card.
Has the ability to learn the food menus and recipes.
Has the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible to work a variety of shifts.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and continuously bend, reach, and twist.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Takes pride in food preparation and cleanliness of all areas as directed by the Executive Chef.
Must be 16 years of age or older.
Fulfills additional duties as required by the Executive Chef.
