POSITION SUMMARY
The preCARDIA Team is focused on rapidly developing a novel treatment for patients experiencing heart failure. Our team is leading the development of the entire preCARDIA system including:
- Balloon Catheter and Accessories
- Access and repositioning sheaths
- On-board sensors / intelligence
- Console, UI, and System performance
- Clinical best practices, training, and user
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support development of catheter, accessories, and preCARDIA system
- Assist in the design of components/fixtures.
- Conduct engineering tests for design improvement.
- Provide input into design and design improvements.
- Conduct failure analyses under mentorship of senior engineering staff
- Analyze data and present results to larger Engineering team
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Junior, Senior, or Grad student pursuing a degree in mechanical, electrical, biomedical engineering, or directly related discipline.
- Strong design, testing, and analytical skills required (e.g. engineering and statistical analysis)
- Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of SolidWorks preferred.
- Experience with machining and/or 3D printing is a plus.
